Trail Ridge Road, Estes Park, CO includes renowned Rainbow Curve. At 2 miles in elevation the views are spectacular and on 5/8/18 the road past Rainbow Curve was closed since winter snows had yet to be cleared. Beautiful views on a cold and windy day of Horseshoe Park below. My wife, I & our dog hiked up the closed road 1/4 mile and had lunch. Worth the drive, and if we had the time would have hiked further up the road toward the summit. Numerous bicyclists taking the challenge.
