Custer, SD-A Pictorial of Historic Downtown

Custer, SD is so named after General Custer who led an expedition in 1874 finding gold in the Black Hills. With a permanent population of 2067 (2010 census)the number swells to over 2 million visitors each year attracted by the icons of South Dakota: Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, the Black Hills&Badlands and numerous monuments, statutes and memorials

However this pictorial is about the Town of Custer, its historic buildings and the buffalo to be seen on almost every street corner.
